Professional and fair resolution
Complaints Procedure
How to raise a concern about a DCCS service and what you can expect in response.
Raising a Concern
DCCS is committed to providing a professional, ethical and respectful service. Clients are encouraged to raise concerns as early as possible so they can be considered promptly and fairly.
You may raise a concern directly during a session or submit a written complaint by email to info@dublincounsellors.ie. Please include enough information to identify the issue, but do not send unnecessary sensitive clinical information by ordinary email.
How Complaints Are Managed
DCCS will acknowledge the complaint, review the information provided and may contact you if clarification is required. The matter will be considered objectively, confidentially and in line with applicable professional, legal and data protection responsibilities.
Response Process
DCCS will aim to provide a clear written outcome within a reasonable period. If more time is needed because the matter is complex, you will be informed of the delay and the expected next step.
External Professional Bodies
Where a concern cannot be resolved directly, DCCS will provide information about the complaints process of the relevant professional body where appropriate. The available route will depend on the service provided, the professional involved and the nature of the concern.
